You should go for the HP C3180. It’s bran new, it’s very easy to use and it runs around $99. It’s very compact and has copy, scan, and print functions. Ink is also reasonably priced. When purchased at a retailer such as Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max, or such, it will come with ink. (An even cheaper HP printer is the F380 for around $79. It also copy’s/scans/prints and ink is cheap for it- both cartridges are around $15 each).

You won’t be able to find a decent printer for $50. When it comes to printers, you truly get what you pay for. This printer has features that will ensure a long-life for the printer, such as print-heads being built into the cartridges.

I would stray away from the Lexmarks and the Epson products. Lexmark ink is expensive and low quality, Epson ink cartridges never fully empty themselves of ink. Epson currently has a lawsuit against them because of this.
